S2E146 – Brandon Lang, Paula Deen, Norman Lear, Meatloaf, Ken Jeong, and Charlie Daniels

In this episode we share some great conversations that were discovered on an old hard drive. Some of these interviews are the most requested I’ve had over the years. First we have our weekly visit with Brandon Lang about this weekend’s NFL and NCAA games to be watching for. From the archives, we share a visit with Paula Deen from April of 2017, TV legend Norman Lear from 2016, rocker Meatloaf from 2017, actor and comedian Ken Jeong from 2016, and country music legend Charlie Daniels from 2016. This is one of many visits we’ve been able to have and also coincided with his induction to the Country Music Hall Of Fame.

The visit with Paula Deen went along with her show “Positively Paula”. We talked about how food can make a difference in so many things, plus what is her go-to crowd-pleaser?

Television legend Norman Lear visited with us about the PBS American Masters documentary “Norman Lear: Just Another Version of You”. Norman also talked about the Netflix remake of “One Day at a Time”.

In a visit from January 2017, Meatloaf talks about his album “Braver Than We Are”. Meatloaf also talks about how his music sometimes takes a listener a bit to sink into.

Actor, comedian, and friend of the show Ken Jeong shared a great visit about his series “Dr. Ken”. This came from March 2016 as we talked about a touching episode entitled “Dicky Wexler’s Last Show”.

Country music legend, and truly one of the kindest men I ever knew Charlie Daniels visited with us in September of 2016 about his latest album “Night Hawk”. Charlie shared about how the album was a labor of love – that spanned close to 15 years in the process. We also discussed his recent induction into the Country Music Hall of Fame.
